点评：An incredibly interesting historical nuclear bunker built into the ground NR Brentwood. Filled with objects of the 80's and 1990's it shows the setup of a regional command centre to be used in the event of a nuclear strike. It's great nostalgia for people of the 1960s and 1970 who will remember the technology shown, for younger people it will be a fascinating view of the past. We were impressed with the size and maintenance of the place which feels like it could have been decommissioned yesterday. An audio guided tour provides the narrative. There is a canteen at the end which is self service and has light hot food, pasties, cakes etc as well as drinks. They do a cream team for £4 which we thought was good value. You need to pay £5 to take photos and videos and sign a copyright agreement before you start. This is bought from the canteen accessable from the car park. We did not think this was unreasonable as there is much to photograph and the place must cost a fortune to maintain and run. The entrance fees are paid at the end of the tour. At £15 for an adult we felt this was very good value given the contents. We don't this very young children will find it very entertaining but any child 6 or older will find it interesting to explore. Overall a very highly recommended place to visit. Good for older people with some mobility at least, it's not that demanding but has some steps inside. It's detailed on their web site.
