点评:The landscapes are just phenomenal. The hike is a bit more challenging than expected given recent landslides and is quite a long one if you really want to see all the beauty and treasures it has to offer, so i would recommend making sure you’re confident in your physical fitness!
There is really something spectacular at every turn, from the orchids that grow abundantly, to the waterfalls, right through to all of the endemic wildlife that calls it home.
I believe it is the fourth or fifth waterfall that you can swim in (highly recommend) so pack some bathers and a towel! I’d also recommend packing a lunchbox if you’re not doing a guided walk that includes one - though that would certainly be the way to go!
There would definitely have been things we missed if we had gone at it alone, the park is bursting at the seams with history, nature and culture and having someone so experienced and excited to show us the way took the whole thing from being a hike at a national park to an immersive cultural, environmental and historical event.
There’s really something for everyone, from history buffs (think war era tunnels and helipads), to nature enthusiasts looking for something gorgeous and untouched. I believe you can also do a night experience and camp out in the jungle which we were told is the best way to get a peek at some of the animals that live there.
Listen out for the cicadas and enjoy the stunning butterflies on the way!
