Good course layout, slow play, temporary tees

点评：The course has a good layout with good variety from one hole to another, and was well maintained, though with a caveat I will get to shortly. The staff was friendly, but the starter seemed a bit addled by something, and was back and forth from the first tee to the clubhouse or somewhere, and we ended up teeing off ten minutes or so late.
The pace of play was horrendous. The place could use a ranger. The group ahead of us was epically slow. You know the situation: both carts drive to the same spot; someone gets out of one of the carts and ponders the situation for a while before selecting a club and taking numerous practice swings, hits the ball somewhere random, replaces the club, and climbs back into the cart; and they all proceed to the next ball. All the while it was apparent there was a lot of open space ahead of them. The front 9 took over two and a half hours. Fortunately they wandered off not long after starting the back 9.
A number of the tee boxes were being resodded, and there were temporary tees. That's not necessarily a big problem, except there was no indication of the new yardage. Range finders are helpful devices, but should not be essential. A course, especially one that caters to visitors, should have enough guidance for newcomers without electronics.
If not for the combination of slow play and temporary tees I might have considered a four star rating, but as it was the experience was no better than average. It's a decent value, and probably won't be a disappointment if you play there.
