A Last‑Day Adventure That Turned Into a Favourite

点评：We were looking for a way to fill a few hours before flying home to Australia, and with our car booked for the day, we decided to take a drive down to the Redondo Beach area. It turned out to be the perfect way to spend an afternoon.
The beach has a really comfortable, relaxed vibe. There were loads of beach sports happening, families enjoying the sunshine, and — to my surprise — country music playing in the background. Not something I expected on a California beach, but it absolutely added to the charm.
If you enjoy a scenic walk, there are some beautiful paths right at the footsteps of incredible homes. It’s a lovely way to take in the area and soak up that classic coastal California atmosphere.
You can also wander out along the pier, which gives you great views and a fun look at local life. The surrounding blocks were another highlight — full of fantastic meal options, little shops, and trinket‑hunting opportunities. It honestly felt like a surprise gem we hadn’t planned for.
After getting a sneak peek, I’d happily come back and even stay a few nights. Redondo Beach really impressed us and made for a memorable, easygoing way to end our trip.
