点评:Mawson's Hut is a fabulous peek inside a remote, rugged, pioneering experience shared by 18 men in the windiest place on earth in Antarctica. The museum introduces you to each of the men, their backgrounds (they were so young!) and their role in the scientific expedition. Once conversant with the team, you enter the interior which is a replica of the hut they build and fully furnished/equipped as it would have been at the time. There are a number of artifacts and the story they tell is shared. If you are a fan of 'living museums' this is must do activity in Hobart just a couple of streets back from the wharf area and the staff are lovely, chatty and knowledgable, ensuring they immerse you in the experience by providing context to the expedition, highlights, tragedies and ultimate comradeship and survival. We could all learn a bit from these humble men with great vision.
