点评:I was booked on a 1.5 Day Limited Load fishing trip departing on Wednesday 09-07-2022 at 7:00 pm and returning on Friday 09-09-22 at 6:00 am. In my opinion, the staff at Fisherman's Landing and Captains Scott Meisel and Captain Trevor Fried willfully endangered the safety of 37 anglers who were onboard the Condor. The captains knowingly took the vessel off the coast of Ensenada Mexico knowing full well that a hurricane was fast approaching south of the Baja peninsula. The captain also used the excuse of been chased by the hurricane to return to Fisherman's Landing 4.5 hours prior to the schedule returned time of 6:00 am on Friday, 09-09-22--cutting the length of the trip from 36 hours to 31.5 hours. Of the 31.5 hours spent at sea, only about 45 minutes were spent fishing during the entire trip. We made four stops and fish for about five minutes each, on the fifth stop we fished for about 10 minutes and for the sixth and final stop we fished for about 15 minutes. That means that we only fished for 3% of the time spent at sea.
The staff of Fisherman's Landing and Captains Scott Meisel and Captain Trevor Fried knew full well that a hurricane was approaching and put profit over angler safety and customer satisfaction. I talked to other anglers who were schedule to leave on the Pacific Dawn on a 2-day fishing trip and they told me that their trip was changed to a 1.5 trip because of the weather. This shows that the approaching hurricane was common knowledge and a concern at Fisherman's Landing and the crew of the Condor. Yet, they chose to endanger the safety of 37 anglers. Unfortunately, neither the staff at Fisherman’s Landing nor the crew of the Condor briefed the anglers about the approaching hurricane. We should have been given the option to reschedule or the fishing trip should have been cancelled.
If you are planning to book a trip on the Condor or out of Fisherman’s Landing this is what you can expect. ANGLERS BEWARE☹
