Overcharging and Misleading Tourists

点评：We visited Pamukkale in February 2026 and were extremely disappointed by the way ticket pricing was handled at the entrance.
Before arriving, we tried to purchase the tickets through the official website, but unfortunately the online ticket option was not working. Because of this, we had no choice but to buy the tickets directly at the entrance.
The official entrance fee is €30 per person, so for three people the total should have been €90. However, at the ticket counter we were told that payment in euros was not allowed and that we had to pay only in Turkish lira. The amount we were charged was 6017 TL for three people.
Based on the exchange rate at that time (approximately 1 € ≈ 51 TL), €90 should have been around 4,590 TL. Instead, we were required to pay 6017 TL, which is over 1,400 TL more than the official equivalent price — roughly 30% higher.
After traveling 400–500 km to reach this famous site, visitors are placed in a situation where they realistically have no choice but to pay the amount requested if they want to enter. This creates the strong impression that tourists are being taken advantage of.
Experiences like this leave a very negative impression and raise serious questions about fairness and transparency in how tourists are treated. Shame on you!
