West Surf Morocco的点评
点评：If you are not German, there’s a good chance you’ll feel very out of place in this camp. 90% of the people staying are Germans, there is no rule to speak English in common areas so as to promote inclusivity as I’ve experienced before in other surf camps. Even the staff all speak German with the other guests and the German lady boss went around greeting other German guests but didn’t even say hi to me when she saw me.
The Moroccan staff on the other hand and all the surf instructors were absolutely lovely and made my disappointing experience so much better. They were so welcoming and a delight to spend time with. My surf instructor Fouad was very sweet and encouraging, lessons were great and I learnt a lot from him.
The riad is beautiful but poorly maintained, if you are unlucky to get a room without a balcony there is very little proper ventilation and the room will smell of damp mould. The ground floor room Kilim facing the pool and front door of the riad has zero privacy, the curtains don’t close and the doors are made fully of glass. The only way for privacy is to put the shutters down completely but that means being unable to leave or enter the room - not great for a room share or to get any airflow while u want privacy. Beautiful room but the design was not well thought out.
I was lucky enough to meet a handful of very lovely people who made the experience better but overall wouldn’t recommend to others with so many better surf camps in the area.
