Trip to a bit of paradise.
斯米兰群岛国家海洋公园的点评
点评：Leaving our hotel at 5.30 am seemed a big ask but it was worth it,a mini bus took us to a rather grey concrete building for a light buffet breakfast before we were divided into a group on a “ catamaran , speed boat “ on another leg of the journey. We were well briefed by staff who spoke good English and German and group leader “ JJ “ who bought her own humour in health and safety which was good too. JJ led a good team of male youngsters who provided everything for our comfort including ear plugs as the boat engine made quick progress and lots of noise. Soft drinks, sandwiches , towels , lifejackets , snorkles were all available for our use. The boat anchored and a small Thai long boat took us a shore to this beautiful island . Several young women were making bracelets from recycled fishing twine and JJ expained that these island people were once known as water travellers but when mother nature delivered the Sunami these folk took to the highest mountains and survived without any casulties earning the government recognition of a pink card and renamed the Sunami Warriors.
Lunch was an array of hot buffet local dishes , the young Thai long boat operator was proud to share his Mother was one of the team of cooks quietly to us . The people were happy to nod and exchange greetings and we happily bought some recyled trinkets.
Back on the catamaran we stopped for snorkelling in stunning waters in waters filled with an array of sealife beyond any in my imagination and staff were supportive of less experienced swimmers .
In conclusion it was a long day but one I shall never forget. We felt that the excellent care and service was very influenced by the wonderful leadership of JJ , a strong funny caring lady who was keen to share every experience this trip had to offer and we so appreciated her guenuine sincerity in providing us with the best time. Thank you JJ and your team
