Great 3-day tour from Cairns to Cooktown- the Cooktown Wanderer

点评：My bestie and I did the "Cape Tribulation & Cooktown Wanderer" 3-day tour in June 2025 with AAT Kings and really enjoyed it. Our guide Brian was warm, friendly, funny, and full of stories.
Our group (just 6 total / 3 pairs) had the comfy 4WD bus all to ourselves, so twas nice and roomy. We covered about 600 km all up. Highlights for me were the Bloomfield Track (proper 4WD adventure), the Marrdja Boardwalk where you could literally see the line between rainforest and mangroves, a stop at the tiny Cooktown Airport which I found interesting, and of course - the people! We got lucky with an awesome group and our wonderful driver Brian.
The hotel in Cooktown was excellent: big room, good facilities. Only small hiccup was the pickup info for the first morning was a bit unclear- it said to wait at the bus stop but we were collected from reception. Another group had the same confusion, so something to be aware of or check with AAT before you leave.
I'd definitely recommend this tour if you want to explore FNQ without doing the 4Wdriving yourself.
