Rude staff and overpriced

点评：Overpriced for a mediocre experience. This was a spontaneous stop on our mother and teen road trip. The woman at the highway reception booth was incredibly rude at both our entry and exit. I approached with a friendly smile and she aggressively demanded to know if we were proceeding with the $69 gondola fee before I even had the opportunity to ask a question or look at their map. I immediately agreed to purchase the tickets but when I tried to hand her the cash she stormed out of the office and instructed us to park and board the shuttle bus and pay at the top. When leaving we grew tired of waiting for the shuttle back to the highway parking lot so we walked the two kilometres, the last bit up a very steep hill. When I entered the office to ask for the wifi code so I could navigate to our next destination, the same woman angrily told me to go outside for the QR code. When I couldn’t get the code to work because of glare on the outside window I entered the building again and picked up the plastic frame on the desk that held a photo of the QR code. She immediately grabbed it from my hand, said “this is mine!”, threw down her phone in disgust, and marched me outside again and banged on the glass to show me the QR code in the window. It was a very upsetting way to be treated after spending USD $160 (tickets plus lunch) for two people.
As for the activities, the gondola was a painfully slow 80 minute ride where we spotted zero wildlife, not even a bird. The butterfly, frog and snake exhibits were small and terrible, and we saw no hummingbirds.
The staff at the buffet lunch were also unfriendly and the food (rice, chicken, shredded beef, salad) was flavourless, though reasonably priced at USD $11 per person.
There are a couple of short trails totalling 1 km where we also saw no wildlife. Definitely not worth what they charge. This should be a USD $30 ticket not $69.
