点评：We took the 11.00 a.m. guided tour with Clarisha. She gave a short summary of the diamond mining history in this area and the establishment of the now ghost town. It was established in the early 1900’s and was left vacant from 1956. The inhabitants lived in relative luxury, compared to the workers mining for diamonds. The guided tour is a good introduction to the layout of the town, and it was easy to self-visit the buildings for a closer look. If you miss the guided tours, there is free WIFI to download the Voice Map app and a free code for the audio tour in several different languages. There is sign about this on the outside wall of the ticket office and inside the auditorium where the gym equipment is displayed. The cost was N$230 each adult including the guided tour and we drove our rental car into the secure parking at the attraction.
