Cairngorm Mountain Resort的点评
点评：This isn’t a review re other facilities, such as the slopes or cafe etc , I just wanted to share our pretty awful experience with renting gear in the hope can save someone else from making that BIG mistake.
Queue took 1.5-2 hours. We had to queue for boots separately and THEN another queue for skis, and I’m sorry but I’ve never seen staff at a ski rental place go so unbelievably slowly. This was on top of the hour we’d waited in the car park down the road (the top car park was full) to get up. So essentially we arrived 9:30am and didn’t get onto the slopes till past midday.
Then sadly we got awful quality gear. Very outdated, not looked after at all. The skis clearly had not been waxed, they had blunt edges so unable to grip at all in the icy conditions - and it was unsafe to be honest. I gave up after one run , I would consider myself intermediate and I felt like my first time on skis I had no control over them. My partner soldiered on but after 3 falls (he’s an experienced skiier) we called it quits and left.
The slopes themselves seemed great (I wouldn’t really know as only got one run !) but please, save yourself the disappointment and waste of a fair amount of money and rent elsewhere. We’ve decided to buy gear now we’re so adamant we don’t want a similar experience again.
