Government Botanical Garden的点评
点评：We visited in June 2026. Visitors should note that there is an entry fee of ₹100 per adult, along with a separate parking charge of ₹100 for four-wheelers. Parking fees must be paid in cash, as UPI payments were not accepted during our visit.
Overall, we found this place to be noticeably better than the Rose Garden. However, if your itinerary allows time for only one garden in Ooty, I would strongly recommend the Karnataka Siri Horticulture Garden instead, which offers a more impressive and memorable experience.
The highlights here are undoubtedly the Glass House and the Fern House sections. Both are well-maintained and feature a good collection of plants, making them pleasant to explore. That said, I would hesitate to describe the place as a true botanical garden, as most of the plants are displayed in pots rather than being part of a landscaped botanical collection.
The outdoor areas consist largely of open lawns and patchy grass-covered spaces, which felt somewhat underdeveloped compared to what one might expect from a botanical garden. For that reason, the attraction feels closer to a well-organized plant nursery with a few attractive exhibition houses than a traditional botanical garden.
