Come when the crowds aren’t there for a great experience!

点评：First stopped by this waterfall on drive down to Vik at around 11 AM. If that was the only time we would have seen it, it would be a 1 star review. It was like Disney World - parking lot was overflowing, hundreds of people everywhere chaotic, an actual line to walk behind the falls- it was probably the most crowded location we experienced in our entire 2 week trip to Iceland.
We came back later that day around 11 PM, and it was amazing!! There were only a handful of other people there, and we were able to really experience the beauty of this place. It was super fun to walk up the path and actually walk behind the waterfall - just know you’ll definitely feel the mist! We walked down the path a few minutes to view the other “hidden waterfall” as well. Definitely recommend this cool waterfall on the South Coast, but only if you can go in the evening or early morning when it is actually enjoyable and not swarmed by people.
