Loved how they bring life back to a historical building
横滨红砖仓库的点评
点评：The area is rich with history and it’s amazing how they managed to repurpose the buildings for commercial use without diluting the atmosphere of the area.
The smaller of the warehouse is more an exhibition hall for events while the other is like mini mall with mixed of eateries and specialty shops. The open space between the blocks are also used to stage different outdoor events throughout the year. Do note that each building has its own operating time.
There are also informative display around to described how the place played a part in Yokohama’s growth and development:
It can get quite crowded even on weekdays as the place is a popular stopover for tourists. If you don’t mind the crowds, there are quite a few interesting specialty shops selling unique crafts and products. Making this a good place to do some souvenir hunting.
The downside has to be it’s not the more accessible attractions and unless you drive or follow a tour group there will be some walking to get the place.
