点评:We were a group of 10 and our leader hired a private boat for the crossing which was comfortable.
However, there were public boats which were crammed with people having to sit on the open top deck, the weather was cool and windy so this wasn't a good location to be in. Suggest that you check if seats can be pre booked inside such boats, or make sure you are on first to bag one!
On arrival it is quite a steep but short climb up steps to the ruins. These were rather disappointing, not that much to see, so I suggest that unless you intend taking the hike you give this trip a miss.
After the temple we continued upwards for views from the top of the island. The views were good and it was worth the climb, which is graduated and most people of a reasonable fitness could manage. It is on an unmade track, walking over stones in single track at times, so footwear should be trainers rather than sandals.
There are quite a few locals enroute selling handmade crafts and offering photo opportunities with Llamas etc - be aware they expect payment of a few Bolivianos - for any photograph opportunities. PS they also have card machines for those slightly more expensive items!
There are toilets at the end of the hike where the boat picked us up. If you do the route backwards with the Temple last, there are not any there.
