耶稣基督救世主雕像的点评
点评：The statue is impressive and the views stunning, but the crowds were horrendous. We booked the earliest train we could (7.30am) and it was already crowded at the top. About 90% of the people seemed more interested in getting the perfect photo than seeing the monument and the views. Most of the young women were dressed for a photo shoot.
Many would stay in the same spot for ages, striking multiple silly poses while others waited their turn just to see the view.
As for the ticket and boarding arrangements, oh my god. Awful.
The arrangements on arrival were chaotic. I booked in advance and had what I thought was a ticket but turned out to be a voucher that I needed to exchange for a ticket. This was not explained anywhere. I arrived at 6.40am for a 7.30am departure and was told to stand in a queue.
By the time I got to the ticket window it was 6.55am and I was given a ticket for 9am. I challenged this and was told rudely by one of the staff I was too late arriving. I pointed out that I was early and I was then given a ticket for 7.40am (not 7.30am as I had booked).
I accepted it and moved on to the next queue which appeared to be for a photograph to be taken, whether you wanted it or not. When I got to the front I explained I didn't want a photo and was sent into yet another queue to access the platform.
Once through this queue, there was another queue to board the train.
It was all a complete shambles. At other attractions, online bookings act as the ticket; I arrive at the attraction and just queue to get in. I don't get sent to four different queues with no explanation about the system.
It's worth seeing but be prepared to queue for ages and for a herd of bovine idiots hogging the best viewing spots and taking ages to do a photoshoot.
