The Old Bridge area was disappointing

点评：My wife and I visited Mostar on a day trip from Dubrovnik during our trip to Croatia this past March. It was a rainy day during our visit. I was disappointed with the area surrounding the Mostar Bridge. I envisioned a larger old town area surrounding the bridge, but it was mainly one street with an abundance of souvenir shops leading up to and away from the bridge. We were not interested in souvenirs but all the people with umbrellas made shopping very difficult. We found a market on the other side of the river and bought some plum brandy, which was terrible. We had lunch in a local cafe and ordered the mixed grill. Most of the meat was good except the calves liver. The lady asked if we wanted a take away box but I told her “no” because we had no way to keep it refrigerated. She seemed disappointed that I did not want to take the leftovers with me.
