点评:A tale of two visits that were polar opposites unfortunately.
On Saturday nights (2nd Dec). Great food. Great service from the bar and floor staff and overall a really good time. Highly enjoyed our time and therefore made a point of going back before we left Boston.
However, on Wednesday (6th Dec) we were met by a completely different experience. As we entered myself and my wife were asked for ID and as we did on our previous visit we presented our ID’s. My wife had a government issued Irish passport card and I gave my Irish drivers licence. Both these were acceptable forms of identification on our last visit.
The door steward instead of being welcoming - started quoting government state law and although I fully accept that he was in the right (in terms of law) I don’t think any establishment can pick and choose when to apply it. The rules are the rules 365 - not as and when.
Having worked in hospitality for 17 years I get it and respect the rules. But consistency is key.
Really left a sour taste and instead of recommending the venue to friends and family on our return to Ireland - we will recommend else where!
