Sumela Monastery的点评
点评：Extremely disappointed with this experience. We paid around 2100 Turkish lira for 2 people, and honestly it was not worth it at all.
The last 2–3 km before reaching the entrance were extremely crowded and took us more than 40 minutes just to pass. Once you arrive, payment at the gate is cash only — no card payments accepted — and you still have to pay separately for both the park entrance and the shuttle bus.
After taking the shuttle, there is still a long uphill walk to reach the monastery. The worst part was the huge waiting lines under the sun for more than 40 minutes with very little organization.
Also, the monastery does not look nearly as impressive in real life as it does in photos online, and it’s difficult to get the panoramic views people expect.
Overall, I would not recommend this place, especially for elderly visitors, families with kids, or anyone expecting a smooth and relaxing visit.
