点评:We sadly visited the Nubian Village in Aswan because we were genuinely interested in learning more about the culture. We were wrong - you don’t learn here because it’s so fake and commercialized in that unless you’re buying some junky trinket or riding one of the poor camels, this could be anywhere. What was the most disturbing was how the crocodiles were caged with 2 being way too big for the enclosure. The young crocodiles had their snouts taped and the couple in the house only responded if you bought something like holding a small crocodile for a photo. We had been told that once the crocodiles get a certain size, they are to be released above the dam, however since they were captured as babies, they have no survival skills and there wellbeing was very iffy after release. We were also informed that more and more tourists are not visiting the villages because of the animals welfare. In hindsight we wish we had not gone. Was a sad experience.
