Great mountain, but watch the combo ticket trap if you book through Tiqets

点评：Monserrate itself is worth the trip: the cable car, the views over Bogotá, and the church at the top are all excellent. This review is a heads-up about ticket-buying, not the site itself.
If you search for Monserrate tickets online, you'll likely come across Tiqets.com, one of the larger ticket resellers. On their site, the Monserrate cable car ticket is bundled with the "Salt Cathedral Zipaquirá Fast Track" ticket (also referred to as the "ice museum" for its blue-lit tunnels), sold as a convenient add-on at checkout.
What isn't clear anywhere in that combo's "What's Included" list is that the Salt Cathedral isn't in Bogotá. It's in Zipaquirá, a separate town about 65 km away, roughly an hour's drive each way, and transportation between the two is not included. The only place this is disclosed at all is a collapsed "How to get there" section showing two map pins with postal addresses, with no stated distance, travel time, or transportation note.
We bought this combo assuming both stops were part of the same visit, and only realized after arriving at Monserrate that the Salt Cathedral required a separate, hour-long trip we didn't have time for. We never used that half of the ticket.
