BIG SCAM — DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!

点评：Very poor management and a terrible experience overall. It honestly feels like they think every tourist is rich and easy to fool.
Especially be careful with the boat owners and riders. They will keep asking for extra money, saying things like:
“If you pay more, we will take you further.”
“We will show you turtles.”
“We will show special areas.”
But in reality, there is almost nothing extra to see. Most of it is completely useless and some places are even free to access by walking.
This entire setup feels designed to pressure tourists and families into spending more and more money for nothing.
So dear tourists and locals:
PLEASE don’t waste your hard-earned money on this.
• Overpriced rides
• Extra hidden charges
• Misleading promises
• Poor management
• Very unprofessional behavior
This was one of the most disappointing experiences we had in Hikkaduwa.
Be careful and avoid getting trapped by these scams.
Especially be careful with the boat owners and riders. They will keep asking for extra money, saying things like:
“If you pay more, we will take you further.”
“We will show you turtles.”
“We will show special areas.”
