Great place for a family with plenty to do and see
拉迈海滩的点评
点评：Lamai Beach was a great place to stay. Before arriving, I’d read a few reviews mentioning rubbish on the beach, but that wasn’t our experience at all. The beach was spotless throughout our visit, with no litter anywhere. I imagine conditions probably depend on the weather and tides.
We visited in July, and the weather was perfect. Temperatures were around 30°C every day with a pleasant breeze, making it very comfortable. Interestingly, the forecast constantly predicted rain and thunderstorms, but over our five-day stay it didn’t rain once. We did witness some spectacular lightning storms out at sea during the evenings, which were amazing to watch without affecting our time on the beach.
The beach itself is spacious and never felt overcrowded, making it easy to find a quiet spot to relax. There are plenty of reasonably priced restaurants nearby, and we found the food to be consistently good.
The town has a lively atmosphere with lots of shops, massage parlours and bars. There is a noticeable adult entertainment scene, which feels a little at odds with the fact that Lamai is also very popular with families and couples. It’s easy enough to avoid if it’s not your thing, but it’s worth being aware of before you visit.
For shopping, Lotus’s is excellent. The air-conditioned shopping centre is a welcome escape from the heat and offers good value, especially if you’re buying supplies in bulk.
The night market is definitely worth visiting. It has a huge selection of freshly cooked food at very reasonable prices, with something to suit just about every taste.
Overall, Lamai offers a beautiful beach, great weather, excellent food, fantastic value and plenty to do. While it has a slightly sleazy side after dark in some areas, it certainly didn’t detract from what was otherwise a very enjoyable stay. We’d happily return.

总而言之，拉迈拥有美丽的海滩、宜人的气候、美味的食物、超高的性价比和丰富的活动。虽然有些地方在夜幕降临后略显鱼龙混杂，但这丝毫没有影响我们愉快的旅程。我们很乐意再次光临。
