点评：The ASTRA Museum has a wonderful concept and is an impressive showcase of traditional Romanian rural life. The landscapes and historical buildings are beautiful to explore. However, my experience was deeply affected by how some of the live animals are being kept.I was very uncomfortable to see a horse and a cow tied up with short chains and kept completely isolated from each other. While I understand the museum aims to replicate historical farming methods, keeping highly social, herd animals completely alone and restricted by chains does not meet modern animal welfare standards. It creates a sad image of loneliness and neglect that ruins the visitor experience.I highly suggest the museum replaces these chains with discrete wooden fences or mobile electric fencing. This would keep the animals safe in specific areas while allowing them more freedom of movement and the chance to socialize. History can still be honored without compromising the well-being of live animals.
