A Magical Hiking Experience to Fairy Bridge (步仙橋) in Huangshan

点评：The weather wasn't on our side when my family and I visited Huangshan. As luck would have it, Tiandu Peak was closed, so we didn't even get the chance to see how steep and spectacular it is. Instead, we decided to take the less known trail to Fairy Bridge（步仙橋）. It is a small nature-looking arch bridge suspended between two gigantic cliffs. To get there, you have to hike all the way down a long series of stairs before reaching the bridge itself. The mountain trails down there are deep, misty, and precipitous and I think the scenes on the way also help to add a touch of excitement to this journey.
From my experience, not many people choose this route because you have to hike all the way back the same way you came, which is definitely a great test of stamina. BUT it is 100% worth it! The hike took us about 3 hours, including breaks and plenty of photo stops. Afterwards, we headed to Xihai Hotel, where we had a wonderful stay. Personally, I think Fairy Bridge may be one of the most underrated spots in Huangshan.
As a nature lover, it was my first time being completely surrounded by such thick and rolling mist. It was also the first time I realized that I might have Megalophobia! The rocks felt sooo alive...Even now, whenever I think back on that hike, I still feel a little intimidated by those ancient, colossal, and almost otherworldly rock formations as if the enormous cliffs could suddenly came to life and swallowed me whole.
Standing among them, I could only stare in awe as I felt completely embraced by Huangshan's incredible energy.
Felt so blessed that I got to experience all this with my family. : )
