No Support For Disabled Visitor
Nefyn Golf Club的点评
点评：Whilst on holiday in Caernarfon we planned a visit to the beach at Nefyn Golf Club with several friends. My husband looked at the map to check for parking proximity to the beach as our disabled family member struggles to walk distances. He saw there was a road right to the beach, so off we set. On arrival we discovered the road to the beach had a barrier. My husband asked at the golf club for access to drop his disabled sister at the beach to then return to park our car. This was refused with the explanation "access is only for RNLI". He then asked in the Pro Shop to hire a golf buggy to take her down to the beach. This was also refused. In desperation he also offered to pay a member of staff to drive her down, but again he was shut down. What is advertised as a "20 min walk across the golf course to the Ty Coch Inn" took us an hour down a steep access road. Frustratingly during this time, multiple vehicles passed us driving down and up this access road. Knowing she would never be able to walk back up the steep incline we were left with no other option but to book a taxi to drive her up...which surprisingly is nothing to do with the RNLI yet the golf club is happy to give access to them. Disgraceful support for a disabled visitor. We will avoid at all costs in the future!!
