One of the most worthwhile day trips from Antalya
特摩索斯古城的点评
点评：Such an amazing ruined city. Unlike some ruins where it's just foundations, there's enough here to get an idea of how people must've lived in this dramatic setting. A city that was so well situated that even Alexander the Great couldn't conquer it.
One thing to note... you may read all sorts of stuff online that makes it sound like this hike is a cross between Indiana Jones and climbing Kilimanjaro. Like 40 minutes up incredibly steep and rocky terrain. So much that my partner decided to give it a miss. Well... it's nonsense. Sure, it depends on fitness and whatnot. But really... nonsense.
So at first, I'm hiking up the path and thinking, "Yeah this is pretty steep. Trail's Ok, but definitely steep." Starting to huff and puff a bit. And then... not 7 minutes goes by, and I see the first wall already. And then another 5 or so and I'm in the main ruins. There is a bench or two if you really need it. I didn't.
Sure, there's a bit of scrambling up some ruined blocks if you want to get into the nitty gritty and explore. But you can see the main points without making too much effort. And the theater alone is worth the climb. Now I should note that I took the left path up -the one with the big map at the start (the map is in Turkish and impossible to decipher). I took the other path down. One could take it up as well, if one goes right from the parking lot, in the general direction of the temple ruins in the parking area. That path is somewhat worse/less even. However, it is rewarding because you see some tombs carved into the rock face.

当然，如果你想深入探索，确实需要攀爬一些残垣断壁。但你无需费太多力气就能看到主要景点。光是那座剧院就值得你爬上去。需要说明的是，我上山时走的是左边那条路——起点处有一张大地图的那条路（地图是土耳其语的，根本看不懂）。下山时我走了另一条路。如果你从停车场向右走，朝着停车场附近寺庙遗址的方向走，也可以走这条路上山。那条路稍微崎岖一些，不太平整。不过，沿途风景不错，因为你可以看到一些凿在岩壁上的墓穴。
