点评:We spent a lovely four hours exploring the Henry Moore: Monumental Nature exhibition. As the guest of a member, my entry was free, and visiting on a Monday meant it wasn't too busy. We drove there and found plenty of parking, though the £10 daily parking fee felt steep—especially with no member discount. That said, public transport would have cost twice as much for each of us and would have added an hour to our travel time, so driving was still the better option.
During our walk, we noticed that some information signs didn't quite line up with what we were looking at. At one point, a helpful young staff member overheard us searching for the Monkey Tree; she laughingly pointed out it was actually right behind us and to the right! While it gave us a good chuckle, I’d highly recommend the estate managers ensures future signs face the actual subject matter.
We took a break from a short rain outburst to enjoy a nice al fresco lunch with a home-packed meal and teas from the cafe. Overall, this special exhibit was well worth the visit. The thought-provoking sculptures blend so seamlessly into the landscape that if you’d never been to Kew before, you’d think they had always been there.
