Beautiful island, but seriously let down by pollution

点评：Hong Island is undeniably stunning, with crystal-clear scenery and dramatic limestone formations, but unfortunately the experience is compromised by poor environmental management.
The water, especially in more sheltered areas, had visible brownish foam likely caused by a mix of boat traffic and sunscreen residue. There are many signs asking visitors not to use non-biodegradable products or leave waste behind, yet in reality plastic is everywhere.
Beach vendors sell drinks, snacks, and ice cream in single-use plastic, but there are no proper bins or recycling facilities. Expecting visitors to carry all waste back is ideal in theory, but not realistic in practice.
If this is meant to be a protected natural area, there needs to be consistency: either provide proper waste management or require biodegradable packaging. Right now, the gap between the message and the reality is hard to ignore.
