点评:The people in charge of running uppark really need to give their heads a wobble, especially on the tea room front. House is good, but can’t go upstairs, glad the exhibition about the fire has been sort of put back - but paintings/ drawings when I’m sure there was photography in 1989! To have no shop at all & a tea room that appears to not want to serve food from this era (stuck in 1960’s) - no hot food , very few sandwiches totally lacking inspiration & no coke to drink on a bank holiday weekend when families will be visiting. I know for sure that that sort of drink has a long shelf life & is fairly popular,so a bit of thought into stock control needs to be done- it’s not our first visit where the cafe has been a total disappointment. It’s almost as if you don’t really want visitors -since the refurb the kitchen area/servery seems to have been stuffed more into the corner - it’s a beautiful house, with fantastic views , be a bit more open minded & you may even make money towards its upkeep! As for catering for children , very poor , not a lot of activities to keep them busy
