Unexpectedly excellent ski day

点评：I am an experienced snowboarder and have ridden all over the world, including New Zealand and parts of Europe and the Middle East. Faraya genuinely surprised me.
We had a major overnight snow dump, around 800 mm, and although the mountain was closed for part of the morning while they prepared the pistes, the conditions once open were excellent. It was midweek so very quiet, which made the day even better.
The terrain is serious enough to keep experienced riders interested, and it does not feel like a novelty resort. What really stood out is how close this is to Beirut. Being able to ride proper powder in Lebanon is something I did not expect.
I also used the facilities at the Intercontinental Hotel at the base, which are very upmarket and made the whole day far more comfortable.
Absolutely worth the trip if you are an experienced skier or snowboarder.
