点评:There are two reasons to go to Cape Cross; firstly, to view the giant seal colony and secondly the (replica) cross planted by Diego Cao in his voyage to reach the East in the late 1400's. It's quite a long drive from Swakopmund and further from Walvis Bay. The journey itself is interesting if you enjoy the austere beauty of the landscape, but if not, it can be tedious. You'll pass through (or past) the small town of Hentie's Bay and the even smaller settlement of Wlotzkasbaken. You'll also see the shipwreck of the Zeila. The curio sellers can be a nuisance here, but if you'd like examples of semi-precious stones, they can be bought. Many examples of huge salt crystals in the area which can be bought (an honesty system) along the road.
It's an interesting days outing, but unless you enjoy the wildlife and historical aspect there are more better things to do. The smell of the seal colony is very strong, depending on the wind! Probably not for children, but great for photographers!

这是一次有趣的郊游,但除非您喜欢野生动物和历史方面,否则还有更多更好的事情要做。海豹群的气味很浓,取决于风!可能不适合儿童,但非常适合摄影师!
