点评:We got the number 1 bus up to Willis Rd and then walked up to the ticket office halfway up the hill and then onto the Tunnels. Doable if you are fairly fit but I’m glad it wasn’t baking hot!
Made our first mistake of the trip and didn’t realise the ticket you buy there is only for the day you buy it and it
covers you for several attractions but as it was already 2pm no way could we do everything. However it was the Tunnels we really wanted to see ,so spent a good 2 1/2 hrs there taking in all the history and walking right to the end of the tunnels out to the lookout point.
I enjoyed all the stories of the people who worked, died and spied in the Tunnels and in Gibraltar. It’s very well put together and a lot to get children interested in history.
They offer you hard hats as the ceiling can get low but we didn’t take them, just needed a scarf at times as it can get a bit drippy from the ceilings.
