The Penguin Parade was one of the highlights of my trip to Victoria. 🐧❤️
There is something incredibly special about sitting by the shoreline and watching hundreds of little penguins emerge from the ocean as the sun goes down. 🌊✨ Each group seemed to have its own personality, with penguins of all different sizes waddling their way across the beach.
My favourite part was watching them make their journey from the water, across the sand and into their little burrows and hidey-holes. 🏡🐧 Some confidently marched straight home, while others seemed to stop, chat and regroup along the way. It was both adorable and fascinating to watch.
The experience is very well organised and gives visitors a chance to observe these amazing animals in their natural environment without disturbing them. 🌿
Photos simply don't do it justice (AND NO PHOTOS ARE ALLOWED AFTER DARK!). Seeing these tiny penguins come ashore at dusk is one of those experiences that makes you smile the entire time. 😊💙
If you're visiting Melbourne this is an absolute must-do.
