Friendly animals, even friendlier staff.
Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary的点评
点评：We visited twice because it was so good. A small, family run business which has a nice mix of Australian animals as well as a beautiful rain forest.
Friendly animals that love to eat from your hand - even the emus were quite gentle which was a pleasant surprise (they're usually bullies). The cafe area is lovely and comfortable and the food is excellent with some nice gluten free options.
There are talks about reptiles and small animals and other stuff but my wife's favourite was meeting the koalas. My favourite was handling a snake (a carpet python - not big by snake standards but big enough for me).
The rain forest is exceptional and if you walk in there you feel like you've gone back in time a million years.
We came a second time because we wanted to see duckbilled platypuseseses (I know how to spell it, I just don't know how to stop), we came first thing when it was quiet and were treated to a really good view of one of them feeding - terrific stuff.
The staff are all friendly and super-enthusiastic and really keen to educate visitors about the animals in their care - the enthusiasm is infectious too.
A reasonably priced gift shop to finish off the day.
