Beautiful but quite challenging!
The Dolphin Trail的点评
点评：We had to postpone the booking by ourselves, due to stormy and extreme weather conditions and found it strange that nobody contacted us, to inform us that the trail is closed due to heavy rain and wind storms. The Storms River suspension brigde was still under construction and we had to turn back, without crossing it. It's a pity that we were not informed about this prior to booking. The indigenous Tsitsikamma forest is beautiful and has many water streams and natural waterfalls. Unfortunately we underestimated this rather tough trail!
There are hundreds of slippery bush stairs, up and down hill, which are rather steep and strenuous by times. We found it disappointing that there were no toilets on the route, none at the lookout points, nor at the place we had lunch.
In my opinion the trail is over priced, especially because the 1st night's accommodation at Tsitsikamma National Park, was not up to standard. We booked for a couple and received twin beds instead of a double bed.
It was cold and both blankets in the closet were dirty and full of spots.
The so called temporary Cattle Baron restaurant, turned out to be an open shack with a view and offered little variety on their menu. There were no veggies, no fish, no juice, no bread and my fruit salad consisted out of apple alone!
