点评:This is a fabulous park spread over 400 acres, and is Dundee’s largest public park. It’s home to a superb state-of-the-art play complex for children, with equipment for kids of all ages.
There’s also a Wildlife Centre with an adjoining cafe, a duck pond, picnic areas, and public toilets.
Central to the park is magnificent neoclassical Camperdown House, built in 1828 by Admiral Adam Duncan’s son Robert, from the money his Father was rewarded for helping win the Battle of Camperdown in 1797.
It was designed by William Burn in Greek Revival style, and the trees and parkland were also set out then - hence the well established tall trees, of which you’ll find more than 190 species of here.
There are several trails to walk - and it’s a glorious green open space to visit at all times of the year.
