Portobello didn’t impress
Portobello Beach的点评
点评：Everyone raved to me about this beach so we managed a visit on Friday full of anticipation, the sun shining. When we arrived we managed to find a free parking space down a side street right at the beach so in high spirits we headed towards the promenade. Well what a disappointment. The beach is about 2 miles long nice sand but sectioned up by big ugly breakers that run from the promenade wall to the sea. They are ugly.
Also the patches of infilled tar are many along the promenade making it look run down and unloved.
A pizza slice joint beginning with a C, can’t remember the name was filthy, over flowing bins, and seats covered in bird poop with tatty plastic table cloths and bench seating.
I regretted ordering the slice.
When it came it was definitely a re heat not fresh out the oven, greasy and overpowering with garlic. Portobello was a let down I definitely wouldn’t go back. Looks more like a very unloved and run down seaside town,
