点评：What an amazing experience and we owe it all to Roy. I had been in touch with Roy a couple of months before our trip to schedule the date. As the date got closer and we were days away, the weather forecast was not looking great (cloudy and rainy for both evenings we'd be in Troms0). Roy kept scanning areas outside of the city, proposing different alternatives so we could make this happen.
In the end we decided to go to his family's house, about 90 minutes outside of Troms0. We would have dinner there, and then decide if we needed to keep driving further out. His family greeted us warmly and were preparing dinner for us when Roy's wife pointed out the sky had cleared and you could see the lights. We all ran outside and witnessed a beautiful northern lights show, including seeing the lights dancing and shimmering! Truly a once-in-a-lifetime show.
Afterwards we went back inside and had dinner, which was delicious. We are all vegetarian so we were grateful they accommodated our dietary restrictions. After dinner, Roy lent sleds to our kids so they could play in the snow and even drove them around in the snowmobile. This was a few weeks ago and we still talk about how that was one of the best parts of the trip.
