点评：Pinel Island was truly one of the highlights of our trip.
A few days in advance, we booked sunbeds and a lunch reservation at Yellow Beach via WhatsApp — which I highly recommend, as it can get fully booked. Everything was smooth and well organized from the start. There’s a large parking area before taking the ferry, which made things easy. The ferry costs €12 per person (remember to bring cash), and the captain informed us that boats run every 30 minutes, with the last ferry back at 5:00 PM.
Once we arrived, we were greeted by a magical beach with calm, crystal-clear water and no big waves — perfect for relaxing and swimming. There’s even bar tables set up in the water, which adds to the fun, laid-back Caribbean atmosphere. The staff at Yellow Beach run around to make sure we had everything we needed. We also discovered a lovely boutique selling tasteful gifts and clothing at very reasonable prices.
Our lunch table was ready before our reservation, and they came and informed us at our sunbeds. Lunch at Yellow Beach was delicious and enjoyed with our feet in the sand.
But the absolute highlight was the turtles. Seeing them walk calmly around us was unforgettable — and we were even allowed to feed them lettuce leaves. We were told that around 30 turtles live around the island, and experiencing them up close was simply magical.
We left feeling grateful for such a special and unique experience. Pinel Island is a must-visit.
