Nice, family-friendly beach on E side of island - NOT over-developed

点评：This was our family's favorite beach on the east side of the island. It a shallow bay (so good for small children) with nice sand and some trees/shrubs to provide shade - located at the N side of the bay (Baie de L'Embouchure).
This quiet beach stands in stark contrast to the more famous Orient Beach, just around the corner to the North. That beach is backed by development and covered in beach chairs and umbrellas. If you are looking for a more peaceful, undeveloped beach near Orient Beach, this is the answer.
When we were there, in March, there was some wind and a lot of kite surfing activity in the bay. We heard that there was decent snorkeling along the bay - but not while it was windy (worse visibility) and while peopler were kite surfing (risk of getting run over).
The road to the beach (branching off the main road, just north of Amuseum) has several "inverse" speed bumps - concave dips in the road. It is easy to bottom out on these - but seemed fine in our regular clearance car when going over them very slowly. There is ample, free parking in (unimproved) parking areas around the beach.
Our family visited about 20 of the island's beaches - and this was one of our favorite on the east side.
