点评:We travelled from England to see the theatre, which had been recommended by two separate friends. Sadly we were unable to attend a show as we were not staying in Valletta. I emailed the theatre before our trip to find out times when we might visit. A theatre tour cost 5 euros, but we could only manage a Saturday, when visits are allowed, but no tours are offered. We found about five other visitors there, some exploring the higher boxes and tiers, some standing on the stage, taking photos, etc. We sat in a lower box and in the beautiful auditorium. After a while we started up the stairs to explore the higher tiers, but a man appeared (we assume he was staff, but don't know) and said firmly that we were not allowed up. Nor were we allowed on the stage, although other tourists had been on it. There were no directions as to find our way backstage (I had hoped to see the dressing rooms) or to the education centre (I am a drama teacher). We were given no written or verbal information. After sitting in the auditorium a while longer, we left. We told the receptionist that a man had told us we could not go upstairs, but didn't receive a reaction.
The theatre is exquisite and I am glad we were able to see it, but it seemed strange that our limited experience cost the same as a full guided tour. We had expected a sheet of information, directions around the building and the theatre's history.
We recommend that you take the tour rather than visit independently.

剧院很精致,我很高兴我们能够看到它,但奇怪的是我们有限的体验费用与全程导游相同。我们本来期待一份信息表、建筑物周围的方向和剧院的历史。
我们建议您跟团而不是单独参观。
