点评:My wife and I really enjoyed visiting the McQuarrie Memorial Pioneer Museum while exploring St. George. This is a fascinating step back into the 1870s and beyond, giving visitors a much better understanding of the hard work, resourcefulness, and dedication of the pioneer women who helped build this community.
We were particularly fascinated by the history of silk production and design in Southern Utah. The museum contains an impressive variety of pioneer artifacts, but one of the most unusual things we saw was a historic cake preserved under glass. You have to see it to believe it!
The volunteer docents are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in sharing the stories behind the exhibits and the history of their community.
Best of all, admission is FREE, making this an excellent historical stop while visiting St. George. Allow yourself some time to look around and talk with the docents—you may learn something you never expected. A very worthwhile four-star experience!
