点评：We stumbled upon the Brewhouse Yard Museum as part of our Nottingham Castle ticket and I’m so glad we did!
It’s such an informative and utterly charming little museum — perfectly preserved and full of fascinating details about everyday life in times gone by.
Ophelia was an absolute gem — warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the place. Along with her lovely colleague, she brought the history to life, especially when telling us about Mary, the last tenant of the house. Hearing about Mary’s daily routines and seeing how she lived made it all feel so personal and real.
Ophelia also took us out into the garden and shared so many insightful details that you’d easily miss otherwise. You can tell she really loves what she does, and that enthusiasm is infectious.
It’s a small museum, but packed with stories and charm — definitely worth a visit, especially since it’s included in the castle ticket.
