Yosemite not to be missed - but go early!
优胜美地村的点评
点评：Clearly, Yosemite is not to be missed as a place to visit in life. The views didn’t disappoint. We travelled from 3h away very early in the morning, reaching the car park at Yosemite Lodge by 8am & the car parks were filling up at that point (August). Highly recommend getting there no later than 08:30! Expect crowds!
A shuttle bus goes around each of the car parks so it doesn’t matter which one you park at, you can reach the start point for your walk very easily.
Note in August that any of the “water” places to visit may not have water - Yosemite lower falls and Mirror Lake were dried up when we were there.
Glacier Point walk from four mile trailhead is a walk like walking up Snowdon - so have the right kit!
Negative of our trip was one of the shuttle bus drivers (the only female driver we saw there on August 11th if that narrows it down!) who spent most of her shift actually SHOUTING at visitors doing the “wrong thing” e.g. getting on the bus through the wrong door, not shuffling down the bus far enough, telling kids off for not sitting down (rather than just asking the parents politely to sit their kids down!). I got off a bus later in the afternoon a stop early just to escape her bus, her behaviour was absolutely ridiculous for someone driving a tourist bus around representing Yosemite national park!
