点评:Had a beautiful day despite the rain, staff very helpful and friendly. Gardens, beautiful and always a joy as you walked along well kept paths. Particularly liked the literary garden and spotted The Cheshire Cat sat in a black mulberry tree. The gardens were a favourite visit of Lewis Carroll.
The Botanic Gardens are the oldest gardens in the United Kingdom founded in 1621. The gardens have the river Cherwell running beside it, and you can see people punting and beautiful swans and ducks swimming past. A very relaxing atmosphere. with plenty to view and enjoy.
Facilities include toilets that are kept very clean and tidy. There is Disabled access to the gardens where paths are flat. There is a gift shop there is a seasonal pop-up cafe or hut that serves refreshments. Visitors are also encouraged to bring their own picnic, which they can enjoy seated on the many benches around the gardens
