点评:Excellent place to unwind specially on a winter afternoon. We went around 2.30 pm on a bright sunny winter afternoon and spent around an hour there. It was very relaxing and calming.
Basically it is a burial place for the royals with a lovely marble building located on a hilltop with gardens all around. There is an entrance fee which is quite reasonable (unable to remember how much it is). When we went there (it was a Sunday) there was moderate crowd but yet not very crowded. At the entrance you also have the option to take a guide. But, frankly I don't see any requirement to take a guide for such a simple and compact place.
There is a lovely lake besides the path leading to the building. On that path also is a Rajasthani traditional musician who plays folk music with a sarangi. You can click his photographs by paying a courtesy donation.
On top of the building its worth while to just sit around the marble steps for some time and enjoy the lovely landscape with hillocks all around. Across the garden you can also see the whole of Jodhpur city.
There is ample parking (paid) besides the entrance gate. Overall, a lovely place which is best for a calm and serene time specially in winter sunny days.
