点评：We chose to go this option to view the Matterhorn. While heading up, choose to sit on the right side so you can get glimpses of the Matterhorn while in route. If you are going during the peak season, it is recommended to pay an extra admission seat fee for entering a few minutes before the official loading time so you can be sure to get a seat on the right side. Your intial close up view of the Matterhorn on a clear day is unforgettable and unbelievable !
Your admission ticket includes all the exhibits and stops; therefore, do not loose it. You will need it everytime you depart or enter an exhibit through the turnstile.
From the outside, don't miss the Golden Spot locomotive, a sign with the Grand Tour of Switzerland, Summit Shopping Mall for wonderful Swiss souvenirs, Zoom the Matterhorn viewing, perioscope views up close, paragliding swinging seats with VR glasses or you may sit on a stable bench to view it, as well as a mini Matterhorn climbing wall.
We lucked out on the clear sunny day at Gornergrat and hiked around. Be aware of the high altitude and do go slow as it may take some time to acclimate. Stay hydrated and don't run too fast. It is well worth the trip from Zermatt up to Gornergrat if the day is clear!!
